Privacy Policy
Highlight Desk Uploader ("the app") is a private tool used only by the operator of the Highlight Desk YouTube channel to upload and manage videos on that channel. It is not offered to the public. This policy explains what the app accesses and what it does with it.
What the app accesses
When the channel owner signs in with Google, the app asks for these permissions on the owner's own YouTube channel, through the YouTube API Services:
- Upload videos (youtube.upload): to publish clips the owner has approved.
- View the account (youtube.readonly): to check processing status and read view counts of the channel's own videos.
- Manage videos (youtube.force-ssl): to change an uploaded clip from private to public once YouTube's checks have finished.
The app does not access any other person's account or data.
How the data is used
The access is used only to publish videos the owner has approved, set their titles, descriptions and privacy status, and read view counts for those videos. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
Storage and sharing
Sign-in tokens are stored only on computers controlled by the channel owner, in files readable only by that owner. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties.
Revoking access and deletion
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Stored tokens are deleted on request, or when the tool is retired.
YouTube and Google
This app uses YouTube API Services. Using it means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service. Data held by Google is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
